Detail

Arquímedes farms organically, high in the mountains above Minca, where mist and the cool of the tropical forest linger through the day. Every cherry is picked by hand, only once fully ripe.

After harvest the coffee ferments for two and a half days and is processed with the honey method: the skin is removed, but part of the sweet pulp stays on the bean. The beans dry slowly with it and take on a gentle sweetness. That is how Geisha keeps what it is famous for: a floral aroma, tea-like character and juicy freshness.

z La Maria v Minca

Finca La María lies high in the mountains, in the La Tagua area, in one of the traditional coffee regions of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Coffee has been grown in these mountains for generations, and the local farms carry on a tradition that has been developing since the late 19th century.

La María is a family farm where the coffee is still picked by hand and processed in the conditions of mountain climate, mist and tropical forest. The farm and its coffee trees are cared for by Arquímedes, who continues the work of generations of growers tied to the La Tagua landscape.
